Windsurfing is a great sport that is really easy to learn if taught in the correct way at the correct venue.
Trafford Watersports Centre is an ideal venue to learn to windsurf. It is a 45-acre freshwater lake set in beautiful country park surroundings.
Being a small relatively sheltered venue, the water is ideal for beginners and we now have a new fleet of large boards that are ideal for beginners.
Try Windsurfing
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None, Ages 9+
This is a three-hour lesson during which you will learn all of the basics. You will start off on our land-based simulator before going afloat. By the end of the session you will be able to sail and steer your board. Your instructor will make this a fun yet informative session and by the end of the day you will be able to decide if you want to pursue the sport further. This is a mixed adult and junior course.

This informative course is designed to take you from complete beginner to sailing competently in light winds. There is a certain amount of theory covered during the course. Your course fee includes RYA handbook and logbook in which you can record your progress.
