Kayaking and Canoeing for Youths at Trafford Water Sports Centre has always been popular.
This is due to our excellent selection of well maintained boats and varied environments. We have calm sheltered areas, islands to circumnavigate, shallow areas for learning and deeper open water for intermediates. Our expert instructors will guide and assist you in selecting the correct course for your needs, the correct size wetsuit and away you go!
Paddlepower scheme
We are introducing the BCU’s updated youth training scheme, this new syllabus better reflects the way in which young people develop and learn and is now a more direct comparison with the more established star award system
This scheme was designed for youths below 14 years old. These ages are for guidance only.

Why not persuade your family or a group of friends to come and find out what kayaking is all about. Our qualified and experienced instructors will teach you all the basics in a fun environment. This is a mixed adult and junior course.
